Olive Charitable Organization provides individualized supportive services to adults who have experienced human sex trafficking. Our goal is to meet you where you are, listen to what you need, and help you identify options for moving forward.

Olive does not provide every service a person may need directly. Instead, we work with a network of trusted community partners and service providers to help connect those we serve with additional resources.

You Are More Than What Happened to You:

Human trafficking can take away a person’s sense of control.

Our services are designed to help restore it.

We believe you should have a voice in the decisions affecting your life. Our staff works with you—not for you to identify priorities, establish goals, understand available options, and determine what moving forward looks like for you.

There is no single path to recovery, and success does not look the same for everyone.

A Safe Place to Begin Again:

Safe and stable housing can be an important part of moving forward.

Olive operates a safe house in Madera County for individuals impacted by human sex trafficking. Residents receive individualized case management and support while working toward goals such as permanent housing, stable income, transportation, employment, education, and greater independence.

Our goal is not simply to provide somewhere to stay.

Our goal is to help create the stability needed to build what comes next.

You Don’t Have to Call It Trafficking to Ask for Help:

You may not be sure whether what happened—or is currently happening—to you is human trafficking.

That’s okay.

You may be experiencing control, manipulation, threats, violence, financial dependence, or pressure to engage in commercial sex. Someone may be taking your money, controlling where you go, threatening you or your family, providing drugs or housing as a means of control, or making you feel as though you cannot safely leave.

You may also have left the situation months or years ago and only now be looking for support.

You do not need to have everything figured out before contacting us.

What Happens When I Contact Olive?

Reaching out is a conversation—not a commitment.

Our staff will listen to what is happening and what you need. Together, we can discuss immediate safety concerns, available services, possible resources, and next steps.

If Olive does not provide a particular service you need, we can help identify other organizations or community resources that may be able to assist.

Asking for information does not mean you have agreed to enter a program, move into housing, report to law enforcement, or make a particular decision about your situation.

The first step can simply be a conversation.
