Community Outreach & Awareness
BLUE CAMPAIGN:
Each year, The Department of Homeland Security promotes their Blue Campaign in January. #WearBlueDay is always on January 11th each year. On this day, you can help spread awareness by wearing blue, taking your photo and posting it on social media with their hashtag.
RED SAND PROJECT:
Each year, we close out National Human Trafficking Prevention Month by hosting the Red Sand Project in Madera. This is always on the last Thursday of January at Courthouse Park at 1pm. You are free to bring your friends and family to help spread awareness of the global issue of human trafficking. We pour sand into the cracks of the sidewalk to symbolize the deaths of those who did not make it out of human trafficking alive.
INFORMATION TABLES:
You will see us at various locations during events throughout the City/County of Madera. If you would like us to host an informational booth OR if you would like to volunteer to host a booth, please feel free to reach out to us!
